CIFRI Awards
The 73rd Independence Day was celebrated with great pomp at ICAR-CIFRI. The celebrations began from the 13th August, 2019 on which a Quiz was organized at the Institute Headquarters where all staffs and research scholars of CIFRI participated. The quiz anchored by the Chief Administrative Officer, Shri Rajeev Lal mainly focused on Swachch Bharat Abhiyaan and basic scientific concepts. Every participant enthusiastically took part in the quiz and cash prizes were given away to the winners.
As per instructions received from ICAR, the Institute headquarters was lighted up from 14th to 16th August in order to commemorate the auspicious occasion.
On 15th August, 2019, the day started with the march past by the Security Guards at CIFRI headquarters from the Director’s Residence to the Lobby of the Main Building. All staffs of the Institute, including their family members gathered to witness the Independence Day Celebration. It was followed by the flag hoisting ceremony by the Hon. Director, Dr. B. K. Das. With the unfurling of the National Flag, the National Anthem was sung. Then the Hon. Director of ICAR-CIFRI addressed the crowd as to how CIFRI is flourishing in the research field and emerging prospects to be looked upon. He specifically stressed on individual improvement irrespective of the cadre which would ultimately add to CIFRI’s growth. He also gave away the prizes for the best security guards. After that a couple of patriotic songs were sung by the Cultural Committee to enhance the public spirit. Then food packets were given away to the unprivileged children of the neighboring areas who were very happy to join the celebrations at CIFRI.
Adding on to these, Raksha Bandhan was also celebrated reverberating the spirit of brotherhood among the Office Staff.
A musical chair game was arranged at the Institute Garden for all the staffs which was enjoyed greatly by the staffs and their family members.
