Three days training programme on “Concept Building in Basic Statistics for Biological Data Analysis”

Three days Training: ICAR-CIFRI, Prayagraj has organized an offline 3 days training programme on “Concept Building in Basic Statistics for Biological Data Analysis” during 28th-30th July, 2025. Inauguration and valedictory function of the training programme was conducted in the presence of Dr B. R. Chavan, Head of the Centre. Total 15 participants, 11 girls and 4 boys participated in the programme coming from different districts of U.P. viz. Prayagraj, Basti, Gorakhpur and Kaushambi.

Students from different universities viz. Allahabad University, Prayagraj, Deen Dayal Upadhyay University, Gorakhpur and Chandrashekhar Azad University of Agriculture & Technology, Kanpur across the discipline fisheries, statistics etc. participated in the training. Descriptive statistics for data analysis, Testing of Hypothesis, ANOVA, Chi square testing, Correlation & Regression, using different software viz. Excel, R, PAST and SPSS were covered by Dr Malay Naskar, Dr Dharm Nath Jha and Dr Anil Kumar Yadav. Dr Dharm Nath Jha, Dr V. R. Thakur and Dr Vikas Kumar were the coordinator of the programme and it was assisted by Sri Manish Kumar, T1 & other staff of the centre.
